Since 1981 Hope on Horseback has been providing therapeutic services through equine-assisted programs for children and adults with special needs, individuals and families challenged by cancer or the trauma of crime or abuse.

Team building for employees, First Responders, athletic groups and those returning to the workplace setting after working remotely for so long. Programs are structured to accommodate individual abilities and interests. Classes are designed to encourage personal, social and communication skills.

In addition to learning to ride, participants learn to groom, tack and lead horses which builds confidence, self-esteem, and a strong sense of responsibility. Students learn teamwork and develop a strong sense of accomplishment, pride in work, and task completion. Utilizing the horse to provide gentle exercise has proven to be effective in building core muscle strength, balance, and coordination as well.
